Last Tuesday, America and the rest of the world, sat and held their breaths as the judge in the Derek Chauvin's case was found guilty on all three charges that led to the murder of George Floyd. This was indeed an important moment for the judicial system in America because it put accountability at the forefront and hopefully, indicates the past grievances against black and brown people will no longer be tolerated.

On 06 Apr 2021, former NBA player and assistant coach of UNC, Hubert Davis, was named the new head coach of the men's basketball team at the University of North Carolina. He's the school's first black head coach, an accomplishment in itself. But, things took an interesting turn when during his introduction as the new head coach, Davis made the statement, "I’m very proud to be African American. But I’m also very proud that my wife is white..." which led to social media confusion and this week's episode.
